January 21st, 2007 - With the support of the Sintesio founders, Iskratel, Ltd., Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST), University of Ljubljana, its supporting member Telekom Slovenia and Hotel Golf, Bled, the Sintesio has officialy issued the invitiation to International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to host the ITU-T FG IPTV 4th meeting in Bled, May 7 – 11, 2007, which ITU-T FG IPTV has accepted at the plenary session of the last, 3rd meeting.The 4th meeting will take place in Hotel Golf, Cankarjeva 4
SI-4260 Bled, Slovenia.
"We were honoured with the proposal of Mr. Chae Sub Lee, teh vicechair of the FG IPTV, who have presented the proposal to host 4th ITU-T FG IPTV meeting at Bled in November 2006, during the Sintesio's 2nd NGN seminar. The regional and local telecommunication industry has expressed great interest to support the organization of the 4th meeting in Slovenia", said Dr. Bogdan Topic, President of the Sintesio Board.
"The mission of ITU-T FG IPTV is to coordinate and promote the development of global IPTV standards, taking into account the existing work of ITU-T study goups as well as Standards DEveloping Organizations, Fora and Consortia. With your kind hosting arrangement, I believe the 4th ITU-T FG IPTV meeting will be another important event to continue the ongoing ITU-T IPTV standardization activity", said Mr. Malcolm Johnson, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Standards Bureau in his confirmation letter.
